These terms are the agreement between you and Gut Scribe when you use our app and website. We've kept them as plain as we can. By using Gut Scribe, you agree to what follows.

1. What Gut Scribe is

Gut Scribe is a food and symptom diary that helps you log meals, symptoms, mood, sleep and hydration, and surfaces possible trigger foods with an explanation of the evidence. It is designed to be private and to work offline, without an account.

2. Not medical advice

Gut Scribe is a wellness and self-tracking tool. It is not a medical deviceand does not provide medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment. Insights and “suspected triggers” are informational estimates based on your own logs, not clinical conclusions. Always seek the advice of a qualified health professional with any questions about a medical condition, and never disregard or delay professional advice because of something in the app. If you think you have a medical emergency, contact your local emergency services.

3. Your responsibilities

Use Gut Scribe lawfully and only for your own personal, non-commercial diary.
Keep your device secure - because your diary lives on it, your device passcode is part of your protection.
Don't attempt to reverse-engineer, disrupt, or misuse the app or its optional processing services.
Understand that the accuracy of insights depends on how consistently and accurately you log.

4. Your content

Everything you log is yours. We don't claim ownership of your diary. You grant us only the limited permission needed to run features you choose to use (for example, transmitting a meal photo so it can be turned into food items and returned to you). How we handle that data is described in our Privacy Policy.

5. Pricing & availability

Gut Scribeis free to start. Some features may be offered as part of a paid plan in the future; any prices, billing terms, and trial details will be shown clearly before you buy, and purchases are handled by the app store (for example, Google Play), subject to that store's terms. Features and availability may change as the product evolves.

6. Intellectual property

The Gut Scribename, logo, app, website, and design are owned by us and protected by intellectual-property laws. These terms don't transfer any of our rights to you beyond the right to use the app as intended.

7. Disclaimers

Gut Scribeis provided “as is” and “as available.” To the fullest extent permitted by law, we disclaim all warranties, express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement. We don't warrant that the app will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that insights will be accurate for your particular situation.

8. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Gut Scribe and its team will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages, or for any health outcomes, arising from your use of - or inability to use - the app. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law.

9. Changes to the app or terms

We may update, add, or remove features, and we may revise these terms. When we make material changes we will update the date above and, where appropriate, notify you in the app. Continued use after an update means you accept the revised terms.

10. Termination

You can stop using Gut Scribe at any time by deleting your data and uninstalling the app. We may suspend access to optional services if they are misused or if required for security or legal reasons.
